Since I work in Munich as Photographer, it is a bit more complicated but, sometimes I found out a little bit of time to shoot Wildlife in order to make some new expierences in the Nature Photography environment.
Driving a car, looking for the right place to go, lots of time alone, no talking …
It works, but not for everyday!
I was in South of Italy, the place I was born and where I learnt how to photograph. I got a day where I was finnaly free and I decided to drive untill the Gargano‘s National Park gefahren.
Where lots of water is, there are many animals. I am not an WildLife Expert photographer but I always loved it, and I read lots about it.
I heard that in this Park (there is a wetland with salt’s water) in the end of March, it is the best time to see the Flamingos in the wilderness, and of course to shoot the (with the camera!!!). This is why I absolutely wanted to go there and try to have a nice Wild Photography day.
After a couple of hours walking and looking around, nothing … just smal bird that are for photos not so attractive!
and then, after a turn, a small house:
And here we go!!
This was Amazing, were at least fifty Flamingos there. All together, they were playing and resting, but most important think: they didn’t realize I was there. So I put myself on the ground very slowly and I took six photos, and one of them was good:
It was really interesting, but after the fifht shot they understood there was something very dangerous: ME! and this paradise was lost: all the birds were under shock and flew away doing lots of noise.
I was feeling bad about it … I disturbed such a idyllic moment, but … I was so happy with the photo I took!
